Gift Card Summary
About the Gift Card Program:
- Families can save/earn money by purchasing gift cards through NFVB

- Gift cards purchased earn between a 1.5% and 14% refund (called a “contribution percentage”)
- Families may save/earn money by:
- purchasing gift cards for their own needs (e.g., groceries, gas, restaurants, etc.)
- selling gift cards to friends, family, co-workers
- Unlike many gift card programs, NFVB passes the complete amount of the refund onto families; we do not hold back a percentage for NFVB
- The gift card program is administered by Marti Metzger
Process
- Families mail in orders on the order form once a month
- Orders should be in by the first Tuesday of the month
- Orders and checks are to be placed in an envelope and dropped into the “GIFT CARD” dropbox next to the NFVB room at the BNCC. Marti Metzger with checks this drop box weekly.
- A check must be included for the entire face value of the order
- Checks are made payable to NFVB or Niagara Frontier Volleyball
- The “contribution” percentage is refunded to NFVB by the company through which we purchase the cards
- This refund is then placed in a separate account for each family to be applied to the athlete’s tuition. (NOTE: NFVB does not issue refund checks to families. The accumulated money earned from this program is taken off the athlete’s fees/dues for the season).
Statistics
- Last Year the net refunds from all families totaled $13,000
- Net profits for individual families ranged from $25 to over $800
