*NFVB does not anticipate fielding the 12 local age group this season, but is moving to travel teams for all 12s such that our young kids will practice twice per week, instead of once per week, with a limited travel schedule. It is our belief that it is more beneficial for our young athletes to have two practices per week rather than one practice per week.
However, we also try to take as many 12-year-olds as possible. Should interest be so high that we need a 4th 12s team instead of only three 12s teams, we will likely add a local group, and possibly convert the 12-3s to local as well. In which case, both teams would practice once per week, and the fee would be $500.

Inclusions
Travel Teams: Practice time, coaches expenses, uniform package, tournament entrance fees, subscription to Prep Volleyball and USAV Registration. The travel 1 fees, as of 2009-2010, now include the team tournament fee and coaches’ expenses for a season-ending tournament. This means that no more fundraising is required for nationals, etc. to cover coaches’ expenses, but that it is now included in the cost of travel 1s teams.
Local Teams: Practice time, coaches expenses, uniform package, tournament entrance fees, clinics, and USAV registration
House Teams: Practice times, coaches expenses, t-shirt and USAV registration
Exclusions
As a reminder, a $75 tryout registration fee is required to tryout for any (travel, local, house) NFVB team. This fee is not included in the fee structure above, but is a separate fee to cover the costs associated with tryouts (WEVA registration, insurance, court rental, etc.). Please see the tryout page for more information.
Other exclusions: All travel costs: gas, hotel, food for all tournaments; possible airline tickets for distant qualifiers and nationals. Athletes/parents are responsible for arranging transportation to/from practices/tournaments, including the costs associated with those activities, like gas, lodging and food at tournaments; these are not included in the fee structure.

Travel Teams: Initial fee payment by November 15th, remaining fee balance by January 15.

- 12 = $400 *(note: per above, NFVB may not have a 12 local team. However, if fielded, this would be the payment amount and deadline)
- 10 = $250 *(note: this is the whole amount, no initial deposit for the 10s team)
House Teams: Deposit ($50) due by December 24th, remaining fee balance ($250) by January 15th.
Payments Details
- Checks should be made payable to the NFVB.
- Please write your daughter’s name and team (e.g., 15-1, 14-2, 17-3, etc.) on the check in the “memo” section – for example, Jane Smith, 15-1 or Jane Smith, 14-white.
- No combined families paying for multiple players. These will be returned to the sender. You may combine your own family payments for sisters, but clearly write their names and teams in the “memo” section of the check.
- Payments should be placed in the secure FEE DROP BOX located outside the NFVB room in the back of the BNCC Facility, hanging on the wall at the base of the stairs, adjacent to court 1. Please place your checks (with or without envelope) in the fee box. Payments SHOULD NOT be handed to coaches at practice.
