Tryouts

STEP I: All returning players from last year should have received an e-mail on how to renew your membership with WEVA. Over 160 WEVA members did not get the message because they have not logged into their WEVA account to update their contact information. (This can be done at any time during the year, especially if an e-mail address has changed) If you plan to tryout for club volleyball this fall you must either renew your membership or, if this is your first time trying out for NFVB, you should create a new membership.

Players should sign up to be a regular junior member and do not need to send in any payment to the WEVA office. The NFVB club sends in all membership money after players have been placed on a roster. Don’t forget to select “Niagara Frontier Volleyball” in the Club affiliation drop down box.

STEP II: The second part of the process will be to register for tryouts. Players may now register for tryouts, either Travel ages 15-18 (held on October 16th), Travel ages 12-14 (November 6th), Local all ages (December 3rd and 4th) or House (December 11th). Our newest partner, AllPlayers.com will help us securely manage our tryout registration, $85 tryout fee collection as well as work with NFVB on updated team/roster pages and tournament schedules. Both parents and players will need to create and “AllPlayers” account and submit your contact information on-line. Players only need to register for the first tryout they plan to attend. The $85 tryout fee is a one time fee that is used to pay for court rental, member registration and club administrative fees. You may pay the tryout fee on-line or place a check in the drop box at the BNCC made out to “NFVB.” Players trying out for a travel team but not making a roster will automatically be added to the Local tryout list. Important Dates – Registration Deadlines and Tryout Times

Nov. 7-21 (M-W) PAY AS YOU TRAIN (run by NFVB) $10 for 1 ½ hour session (open to travel and local) This is an optional training program with limited instruction to help players get ready for Local club tryouts and to get travel players additional ball contacts.

6:00 – 7:30 (12 – 15 yrs.)
7:30 – 9:00 (16 – 18 yrs.)

PRACTICE START DATES

Travel (1’s and 2’s) Nov. 28, 30, Dec. 5, 7, 12, 14 (1’s and 2’s will practice together – they will be split into 1’s and 2’s and posted by Thursday, December 15th.  Sunday’s begin on Dec. 18th for the 1’s teams.

Local begins Tuesday, Jan 3rd or Thursday, Jan 5th (depending on which team they make)

House begins Sunday, Jan 8th (following Eden Boys tourney)
