Dear Niagara Frontier Volleyball Families:

The serious impact on life as we know it due to the current public health crisis has become obvious. With these changes evolving and becoming very serious, Niagara Frontier will cancel the remainder of the 2020 volleyball club season. We know this news is disappointing to some, expected by others, and a relief to many that need the disposable income. We feel an obligation to our families to make this decision now as many have let us know that they will not be able to continue to afford to pay their season fees and/or need the refunded money to support their families due to job loss. There were other significant factors that played into this decision including mandates brought forth by the federal, state, and local governments (e.g., closing all gyms for a minimum of 2 months with the projection being longer).

Niagara Frontier Staff will calculate close to 500 refunds for individual families. This refund will include entry fees of canceled tournaments, coach expenses related to travel, and a percentage of court rental for practices. There are many nonrefundable costs which include, but are not limited to tryouts, registration, uniforms, coach stipends, full time staff overhead, building overhead, insurances, prepaid travel, etc. Refunding each family will take a significant amount of effort and time because each player attended a different number of events to-date and individual payments completed and still owed will need to be factored into the refund equation.

We would like to add some optimism in this time of uncertainty. Our staff will be working on unique and fun clinics, camps, and training opportunities for our players when we're able to host events again potentially in late spring and early summer. We know how much this game, facility, and club means to our players and coaches. Niagara Frontier is more than a volleyball club. It is a second home, a sanctuary, and a family for many kids.
