This past weekend the 15 Navy team traveled to Cincinnati, OH to compete in the Buckeye Battle. After struggling with injuries this year, the girls rallied together for a successful weekend.

Gaining two new teammates for the weekend, the 15 Navy team was able to show their versatility on the court. The teams aggressive serving and ball control on serve receive allowed the team to finish 1st in pool play to advance to the top half of the tournament.

After the crossover match, the 15 Navy team advanced to the gold bracket. Smart hitting allowed the team to advance to the finals. Unfortunately the tournament ending with a heartbreaking 3 set loss and the 15 Navy team placed 2nd out of 32 teams. 

It was a successful weekend for Niagara Frontier as 14 Navy came in 3rd in their division. It was also a weekend of great club collaboration as two 14 navy players competed in the 14s division as well as the 15s!
